A Christ-Centered Study of Ecclesiastes 3 Using The JOURNEY Method™
Life is filled with changing seasons. There are times of beginning and ending, planting and releasing, grieving and rejoicing, speaking and remaining silent.
A Time for Everything is a thoughtful, Christ-centered Sunday school lesson exploring Ecclesiastes 3:1–15. This study helps participants understand God’s sovereignty over time while learning how to respond faithfully to the season they are currently experiencing.
Using The JOURNEY Method™, students will move beyond simply reading the familiar passage. They will observe its contrasting seasons, understand its literary and theological context, reflect on God’s eternal character, and identify a practical response of faith.
The lesson also addresses commonly misunderstood phrases such as “a time to kill,” “He has made everything beautiful in its time,” and “a time to hate.” Each phrase is handled carefully within its biblical context.
Whether participants are beginning something new, releasing what has ended, walking through grief, celebrating restoration, establishing boundaries, or waiting for direction, this lesson reminds them that God remains faithful in every season.
